One afternoon as I’m walking past the river that I always walk past on my way home from school I noticed that the river's water was looking a bit dry and perched. Not only that but there was barely anyone outside. Although our town of red bluff is extremely small there is normally at least three or four people outside doing yardwork or hanging clothes to dry. But there was nothing. Then out of nowhere I turn a corner and a little girl crawls up to my feet screaming “HELP, PLEASE!”. I panick and back up. She gets closer to me and closer.I freak and ran home as quick as I can. As I'm sitting on the couch trying to catch my breath I decide to turn on the tv so that i can relax and get that freaky image of the little girl out of my head. I search up “plague”. What came up was a little scary. There was a bunch of people with stuff all over their bodies that looked like bruises. But as I read on they aren’t bruises.I printed it out and put the papers in my bag. I run to my bed and call my best friend baily. I ask her if she has heard about the disease going around our town. But she has no clue what i'm talking about. Although she has a computer at home to search it up she decides to come over so that we can talk about it in person. When she gets to my house we run up stairs and I show her what it was. As she reads about it I can see worry in her big blue
