The Monkey’s Paw had a spell put on it to grant three different men three wishes and the wishes happen so naturally that they can be taken as a coincidence. The wishes that the Whites made after being warned made them regret everything. The monkey's paw is the source of the suspense, but the cause is what and how the monkey’s paw dose things. ““The first man had his three wishes. Yes,” was the reply; “I don’t know what the first two were, but the third was for death.
