As mentioned in my week one dialogue post, “Most Christians will agree that man is finite while God is not.” However, we sometimes want to believe we know well enough those topics that are more controversial than others are. Moreover, we begin to settle, excepting what we are taught blindly, and do not put much thought into that controversial topic. Maybe we reject researching and fighting with ourselves because we are afraid what we may find. Just this week, I realized how ignorant I have been with spiritual gift topics; consequently, I chose to research that topic in another class. Many of you can guess, and may struggle as well, with the theological idea of “Foreknowledge and Predestination.” With modern confusion over the terms and theology of “Foreknowledge and Predestination,” I want to research and get a better understanding of its real meaning. I believe trusting God and letting some arguments be are a good practice, but, with this topic, understanding could affect how one views life and salvation. Therefore, I cannot help wanting to understand this seemingly unknowable topic of God’s “foreknowledge and predestination.” Scripture is not clear, for my comfort, on this topic. I believe that this topic if thought on hard and accepting something out of fear that may not be accurate, can really affect how one lives out their daily life. I have witnessed in myself the selfish idea that if everything is predestined, and only a few are handpicked by God, I might as well live the life that I desire because who knows, I may or may not be one of the lucky
