Arthur miller is a playwrighter. He has made famous novels. He makes novels that are based off of personal things and political things. Arthur Miller entertains his audience with dramas that are both deeply personal and political.
Arthur Miller is known for his most famous novel “The Crucible.” He is known for as one of the best playwrights in the 20th Century. He has written 25 plays from “Timebends” to “The Crucible.” He has also written novels based off of his marriges.
On October 17, 1915, Arthur miller was born. His familly was very surplus of money in the early years of his life. Isidore Miller, arthur millers father, was jewish and was also an immagrant that migrated from Poland. He became successful from the womens clothing store that he operated. When the stock market crashed Arthur Millers parents lost their fortune. After the crash, it lingered around Miller and he eventually started to express his emotions by writing. In 1936, he decided to change his major from journalism to english. During this period that is when he created “The Grass Still Grows.” Acouple years later he was given a Theatre Guild National Award and graduated with a bachelor’s degree. After his graduation he moved to New York and entered the F.T.P (Federal Theater Project) and continued by writing radio plays. (source 6)
In 1940, he married Mary Grace Slattery and he met her years before at the University. He valued his success even though his career was just beginning. His first broadway play was “The Man Who Had all the Luck.” It only lasted a small amount of performances.(source
