Because of the shorter length of the urethra, women are more susceptible to UTIs. Most infections are mild without complications (Huether, 2012, p. 747). UTIs are either in the lower or upper urinary tract. The lower tract consists of the bladder, whereas the upper tract is the ureter, renal pelvis, and interstitium. Acute cystitis is bladder inflammation and is the usual site of UTIs.
P4 – Describe the three structures of the skeletal muscle (Epimysium, Perimysium and Endomysium) There are three structures of the skeletal muscle: Epimysium is a thick layer of irregular connective tissue that pulls the entire muscle as well as protecting the muscle from friction that may be caused by other muscles and bones surrounding them. Also, it is the fibrous tissue which covers and surrounds skeletal muscles. The Epimysium carries on past the end of bones in order to create muscle tendons. Perimysium surrounds a bundle of muscle fibres, it is a casing of connective tissue.

What other abdominal organs are retroperitoneal? (See p. 45 of the FPDG.) Stomach, spleen, bile duct system, small intestines, kidneys, bladder, etc. – the remainder of the abdominal organs found in the fetal pig are basically the same as found in humans.
The kidneys of the fetal pig can be located on both sides of the spine behind the abdominal organs. The kidneys’ are a vital part in the process of removing urine from the body. The path that urine takes to exit the body is very specific. First, the urine is in the kidney. Next, the urine goes into the ureters, followed by the bladder and urethra before exiting.
In the chapter “Epiphenominalism and Eliminativism", from Objects and Persons, Trenton Merricks present an argument against the existence of baseballs. His argument revolves around a scenario of a baseball hitting the window and causing it to shatter. According to him, the baseball did not cause the window to shatter, its atoms did, because they have the causal powers and the baseball does not (Merricks, p. 61). Merricks uses the Alexander's dictum “to be real is to have causal powers” (p. 65), to make his argument that since the baseball itself has no causal powers, there is no good reason to believe it exists (p. 73). In his paper, Merricks first explains the causal principle; then, he defends each premiss of his argument by responding to
What is Intestinal Tumor in Cats? Tumors of the small intestine, large intestine or stomach in cats are known as gastric leiomyomas. Kidney stones have been found throughout history. Scientists found evidence of kidney stones in a 7,000-year-old Egyptian mummy. Kidney stones can also be called renal stones, renal calculi, or by the medical names nephrolithiasis and urolithiasis. Kidney stones (calculi) are solid or semi-solid mineral-like substances occurring in the urinary tract. The urinary tract consists of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and urethra.
They prefer to hunt for themselves and usually do not rely on humans to feed them. Feral cats may have the tip of one of their ears missing, as this is a sign that they have been neutered and returned to the
The ad read "Dental assistant needed. No experience necessary". After one year of thoroughly enjoying a new career, I decided I wanted to pursue dental hygiene school, where my desire to study medicine began. Introduction Gallbladder is an organ in the body and it is part of the biliary system. It is a pear-shaped muscular sac that is located on the ventral surface of the liver and on the right side of the abdomen. Moreover, it has 3 layers; an outer serous peritoneal layer, a middle smooth muscle layer and the last layer is an inner mucosal layer which is connected to the lining of the bile duct. The main function of the gallbladder is to store and concentrate bile which helps the body to break down and digest fats.
The digestive system is located around the stomach area. Along with the digestive system, many other organ systems all work together to create an organism. An example of this would be if a person eats a sandwich and then goes for a run. During the run, the circulatory system helps the body breathe, the muscle system helps the bones move, and all the while the digestive system digests the food. Later on, the excretory system gets rid of the waste, or food that the body can’t use for nourishment.
