In 1935 the WPA (The Work Progress Administration) was a coordinated New Deal program that was pursued and generated by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The WPA often constructed bridges, roads, and several sites for the public. This establishment developed many changes in this time period, and created a sense of stability to the people. As construction increased, so did the demand for employment. Although, the WPA did not permit that much pay to suffice, the program itself was a supreme success and provided jobs and substantial relief to several families and individuals.
