Treaty of Versailles VS The World The Treaty of Versailles and other agreements led to many conflicts in Europe, and the Middle East. I will be writing about the four main ones. They are the problems in Germany, the Middle East, and other places in Europe (Poland, Finland, Lithuania ext.). The first main conflict was in Germany. The Treaty of Versailles was against the German people. It blamed them for causing World War I. Germany was designated to pay 132 billion gold marks. This also caused them to give away most of their army as well as land. They had a limit of 100,000 men in their army. This was not a fair thing. Germany lost most of its economic structures/money, just because of a false rumor. They did not even start it. They just wanted a reason to make money and make Germany less powerful.

The next main conflict was in the Middle East. Not only in one area. All around! The Middle East was divided by a series of treaties. When conflicts arose, they joined Germany to fight against the Allies. The Ottoman Empire was split up into smaller colonies such as Syria, Iraq, and Palestine. Ever since World War I ended, the Middle East was trying to recover from the damage that was created.

It was when we were fighting against the Ottoman Empire. We promised to get off their land after the war, but we did not. Which is why the League of Nations was created. This league was meant to help the nations create peace instead of going to war. Except, the Ottoman Empire failed to follow this league. Instead they decided to go to war with us.
