How is it that theories can be understood without facts, or how can someone come up with facts without theories? Facts are needed to come up with theories. At the same time, a theory is needed to come with a new fact. A theory is created as an idea for a new fact. Facts are also used to make a theory that helps come up with new facts, which can in turn lead to new theories. This idea can come from four main points of knowledge: intuition, sense perception, imagination, and memory. Intuition can be used to come up with a theory. Intuition is needed to see how a fact could relate to another fact which is then a theory. Sense perception can also be used in a similar way. Take, for example, how humans found out that chlorophyll is the reason for plants being green. Past knowledge helped create a theory of why plants are green. That theory was then put to work to find out that chlorophyll is the reason that plants are green. Intuition is used to think that there could be a reason that plants are green. This is intuition because how would one really know that there is a reason for plants being green? Intuition makes someone feel that there is. Sense perception in this situation is used as another way to perceive a fact to relate to another fact. When it is perceived as relatable, it is then a theory because you don’t know that it relates. In this situation, memory can be used to remember a fact that can then relate to another fact by using sense perception. Memory is used to remember a fact that can turn into a theory, and that theory will find new facts. Then the new facts can be used by memory for another theory. It circles around and around. Last but not least, imagination. Imagination can be used to think of a way to act on a theory. With this situation someone investigating this theory could imagine grabbing leaves and grass and bringing it into a lab and testing it. Imagination would help to make the experiment go
