“One inventor was an engineer, an artist, an architect, a scientist, while the other was a businessman and an engineer (Study Tiger).” Leonardo has inspired so many people into painting themselves and has also made ideas of inventions but could never invent them. Thomas Edison never really invented something new but instead improved it. On April 15, 1452 in a town in Italy, Leonardo was born. His father was a businessman and his mother was a poor young peasant, because the town he lived in was named Vinci, he was named Leonardo Da Vinci meaning “Leonardo from Vinci.” His parents were not engaged, Leonardo’s father left his wife and the baby by themselves and then his mother left him to start another family so his grandparents took care of …show more content…

Then later in 1884, Thomas Edison’s wife died and not long after that he built a research laboratory in New Jersey with facilities like a machine stop, library, and a building for chemistry. He also had an idea to link the phonograph to a device that strung together a bunch of photographs in a way to where it looks like it is moving. After a couple of years in the motion picture industry, Thomas stopped with moving film by 1918. He successfully made a storage battery which he originally made for the phonograph but was later supplied for submarines and vehicles that run on electricity. He was credited with building the foundation of modern technology (History Staff).” Leonardo Da Vinci was known for making the most famous paintings, the Moan Lisa. Not only could he paint but make ideas for inventions but could never make it by himself. The most famous of Leonardo’s machines is the armored car to intimidate and scatter an opposing army. Leonardo also came up with the parachute idea hundreds of years ago. He made a sketch of the parachute with a summary saying, “If a man has a tent made of linen of which the openings have all been stopped up, and it be about twenty-three feet across and twelve feet in depth, he will be able to throw himself down from any great height without suffering any injury (Leonardo Da Vinci).” Leonardo’s notes like drawings and sketching’s provided a lot of information on how the invention would work. Leonardo was an inventor ahead of his time period with different ideas but Thomas Edison was the first inventor to invent something rather than making an idea a working
