Life is a race that’s endless and everybody in the world has to participate. It is happy, sad, tired, and sometimes it seems like it is impossible to win. This race is not the race between anyone, but a race between us and ourselves. “Trying” That word is a little word, but has very big and meaningful impacts on people. Many people gave up on their dreams; their dreams of becoming a doctor, their dreams of becoming an engineer, their dreams of becoming a scientist…Why? Thomas Edison has made mistakes at one point or another, but he did not give up. In 1878, Edison set out to create electronic lights. He made over 1,000 attempts, and all of them failed, but he still kept trying. After years of trying, he finally developed an electronic light bulb. Edison received a lot of medals and awards, and he was inducted into the Hall of Fame for being an honorable person, who changed the world. (Thomas) If Edison did not mistaken over 1,000, he will not be successful. A mistake does not fail us, but teaches us to be a better human. In this world, there are many people who make mistakes like Edison, but they let those mistakes incapacitated them. They stop trying because they failed and keep saying that is too hard to try, although they shouldn’t give up. Like Edison, as long as there is still a chance, they should try. While we are racing, there always will be an obstacle; sometimes a bigger one and sometimes a smaller one. Nothing in this world is easy; it may be extremely hard to pass those obstructions. But like Edison, as long as we keep running; as long as we don’t give up and as long as keep trying, one day, we will figure out the way to pass
