“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) This was the Bible verse Tim Tebow had written on his eye black for the Bowl Championship Series title game on January 8th, 2009 when the Florida Gators won 24-14. In Tim Tebow’s memoir, Through My Eyes: A Quarterback 's Journey, he gives great insight about his childhood and upbringing being a religious star college football quarterback. I took this position because it gave me a contrasting perspective on life, especially when I found out he had memorized various Bible quotes and how he interconnected them to everyday life. When he lists all of the statistics, it made me feel overwhelmed. He threw many advanced statistics in the book as well. My suggestion to him would be to give less and simpler statistics. When he commemorates these games, it’s almost as if he was writing these events as they were happening. Some of the details are very well authored, but some of the other details are just too long and unnecessary. For example, he says, “We took a 7-0 lead, then they kicked a field goal. After scoring another touchdown, we were up 14-3.“. Personally, I think that he should not include every scoring play in each game he plays in. Based on the popularity of Tim Tebow, I would not think he wouldn’t have assumed that he had the time to write such a detailed book. I think this is a great book for people looking for an inspirational story about a religious farm boy who loves the game of football. Overall, from a reader 's point of view, I loved how it was written almost as if it was a journal. This is one of the most glorifying novels I have ever
