Tom Cruise had 2 reasons on how he became a movie star in the first place(Lisi). First of all it was the characteristics he played in the movies(Lisi). He was cool even when he played the bad guy in a role. Second all of Tom cruise’s movies make a lot of profit to the studio(Lisi). So many movie producers wanted Tom cruise in their movie(Lisi).

When tom Cruise was 16 a teacher inspired him to become an actor (“Tom Cruise”). His first movie was called endless Love in 1981, in that same year tom cruise played in a small role in Taps (“Tom Cruise”). His role in Taps was upgraded after director Harold Becker saw Cruise's potential, and his performance caught the attention of a number of critics and filmmakers (“Tom Cruise”). In 1983 tom cruise got 65 million dollars for his role in risky business, it also made tom cruise a recognizable actor (“Tom Cruise”). Tom cruise won an academy award for his role born on the fourth of july in 1989 (“Tom Cruise”). Tom Cruise got 64 million dollars for his role in mission impossible (“Tom Cruise”).. Tom cruise normally plays the good guys and the heroic people but Jim Carrey normally plays the weird people and the funny ones.
