Social media is massive in terms of the number of people that actual use it, use not strictly restricted to a few times daily but nonstop. This leads to people using social media to be considered as a market, one considerable market that can be utilized by a business. The application to be reviewed is the twitter mobile application, which uses a real time text message based service. Raffi Krikorian, a former vice president of platform engineering at Twitter blogged that on a typical day more than 500 million tweets are sent and an average of 5,700 tweets are sent per second.
