Fever 1793 by Laurie Halse Anderson, is about a normal fourteen year old girl named Matilda Cook, who was working at the family’s coffee shop, living life in search of her identity. Matilda went through life always working and being lectured by her mother about right from wrong, what’s lady like and what’s not. She had a normal life, her family wasn’t the riches but she had everything she needed, until the an illness called yellow fever came to Philadelphia. When the fever hit people were leaving to other places with their family, but the rest who were too poor to pay for a wagon, or who already had the fever stayed in Philadelphia. One of the people who had caught the yellow fever was Mattie’s mother.
Matt Eversmann’s personality led him to being a strong leader, and overcoming the hardships he faced. Eversmann had the personality fit for a soldier. He was tough and perseverant. This caused him to become a great leader and hero in the war in Somalia.
I feel as though my countless hours of binge-watching science fiction TV shows has finally paid off. I am now in the position to create a team instead of cringe at the groups that do not act as a team and are unsuccessful in the mission. I now have the power to ensure that the three people have the ability to make smart, moral decisions. In the amazing book of Twisted, the main character, Tyler Miller has made some poor decisions, like most teenagers. Some of Tylers decisions have been less thought out than others, at school, at home and other places. In the beginning of the novel, Tyler had been irresponsible and not taking the time to think about his decisions and the consequences they will have on him, however by the end of the book Tyler changed his ways and dealt with his consequences. One bad decision Tyler made was in the very beginning of the story. Tyler had a plan A and a plan B that both involved the school at which he attended.

His birth name was Emmit Perry Jr. named after his biological father. Eventually he changed his name legally to Tyler Perry because his father was abusive, and he didn't feel comfortable having the same name as him. Going through hardships like being molested, and taken advantage of along with using drugs can really take a toll on a person’s life. Tyler was in an abusive household.

In this essay, my research will be based on Tyler Perry’s life. Tyler Perry, American playwright, actor, screenwriter, producer, and director, was born as Emmitt Perry in New Orleans, Louisiana on September 14, 1969 to Maxine and Emmitt Perry. He changed his name when he turned 16 because he did not want to have any connection with his abusive father. He also dropped out of school when he was 16 but he later got his GED later in life.

Tyler Durden and the narrator want to better a society they think is flawed. By breaking down today’s materialistic culture and destroying the concept of racism obviously goes against US values, but true equality and personal freedom are both US values Tyler Durden harps on. All in all “Fight Club” showes viewers that if you strip everybody down and take away our overly priced goods, and focused on our true biological beings that our society would be better of. Us as human beings have urges but the social contract theory keeps us in line “Fight Club” make viewer wonder what would happen if we could be absolutely free, and is personal freedom the basis of the US values actually
In the 1999 American drama film, Fight Club, a sadistic individual named Tyler Durden, who struggles with dementia, is challenged by his work under a corporation and is eager for ways to change his life. He attends weekly support groups for health conditions that are inapplicable to him and finds comfort in participating with other people. During the meetings he meets a suspicious woman, Marla Singer, who constantly interrupts his pleasure in these events. On a business trip home, Tyler is met by his own alter-ego, who is a soap salesmen and so happen to share the same common interests. He decides to give Tyler a call to meet up for drinks and it is then that they find themselves conversing about their hatred towards the controlling credit
There are two parts to the superego. The first is the ego ideal, which includes the rules and standards for good behaviors. The other is the conscience which comprises data about things that are regarded as bad by parentages and civilization. The superego performs to perfect and enlighten behavior. In the case of Fight Club, the narrator’s conscience represents his superego.
