Mid-America is a company that has been in production for several years and has proven to be highly productive over this time as well however with technological advancements some challenges have been place for this company to overcome. When challenges are presented to a company how they react to them is what makes of breaks the company. In all companies, no matter what type of business should establish a focus area on having an employee equity plan. An employee equity plan is a type of guideline on how to sustain equity throughout all employees once a full well developed plan has been set in place. Each company will select a plan depending on their style and needs. With Mid-America, a plan that is flexible will be needed. The reason being that being in the construction business it can be unpredictable at times. Some guidelines that can be used are ways to ensure accountability, communication, and consultation (Human Resources and Skills Department). Ensuring that all employees are held accountable to successes and failures will help employees achieve and set quantitative goals. Employees can be held accountable to their actions can be by monitoring either daily, weekly, or monthly actions (Hart). Now, establishing a good communication between employees will ensure that all staff is provided with the proper information they need to understand and perform properly. Some of the consequences of working in this type of market can be delays in projects or budget cuts. Having delays in this type of market can affect the lives of not only the employer but the employees as well. For when delays occur employers may be asked to make certain cuts and some of those cuts can include letting employees go. Having this type of task as an employer is not always easy. Same goes when it’s time to save some money and go through budget cuts. Trying to do the same job but for less amount of money invested is not easy. These types of requests are sometimes made by the customer to reduce the overall cost but not compromise the integrity (Sisan). Some of the strategies these types of companies can use are to increase installation cost, improve technology, and create a zero-risk environment (Sisan). Increasing the cost for installation will help bring in some more money to accommodate the cuts. Improving technology will help ensure that there are no errors, thus helping save the company money. Now creating a zero-risk environment is an easy way to save money for if there are no accidents there will be no need to pay of any worker’s comp or penalties that could be placed by safety
