My activities at BronxNet studio was a review of my past camera and lighting class. I had the opportunity to continue practicing with the studio equipment. At the post production I learn how to edit packages using final cut pro. My activities at the studio and at the post production became a routine.
After summer break, I returned to Westlake High School for my junior year, feeling as if something was missing. The decision to spearhead the creation of a chapter of the Science National Honor Society (SNHS) at my school arose because of my desire to establish a niche where high school students could express their shared passion for the sciences. The SNHS would provide enlightening scientific activities and opportunities for students, and the Science club would serve as a path to introduce members into the society. I initially proposed the creation of the society in a meeting with the Principal and Board of Education. Quite a few obstacles had to be overcome to start a new organization in the school.

Upon beginning my first class at Walden University, it has been difficult to see myself getting through this 8-week course. Furthering my education has been something I have struggled to accomplish for the last 4 years. I almost decided to give up and continue being just a high school teacher. However, being a senior teacher that motivates my students to go above an beyond to reach their goal has pushed me to work hard and start a new journey. Though it is only the beginning of my journey, I can see graduation.
Shipler’s writing made me look back on my life and feel compassion for those that interviewed. To read some of the struggles that working poor face daily was overwhelming like working odd hours at low rates like Caroline and how she decided to have her teeth removed to get dentures paid by the state only to find out how ill-fitting they were and she couldn’t wear them or life as migrant worker in the fields of North Carolina; which one of my co-workers is from a small town next to Mt. Olive. When I was talking to her about the chapter regarding her hometown area and the housing conditions where the migrant workers lived. What she described was similar to what Shipler stated if not a little worse. She made a point that made me think about it
This paper is a reflection on the Redlands Symphony Concert that occurred on Saturday, February 11th, under the direction of Maestro Ransom Wilson. The rehearsal schedule was somewhat normal, or what I understand to be “normal” in the professional field, with about two and half hour sessions on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. However, the Thursday time was reserved for just the strings, giving wind players only two rehearsals before the concert. The amount of time allocated for specific pieces also felt normal, with more time spent on the bigger work, in this case Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 in A Major, moderate amount of time on Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1, and the remaining time on Beethoven’s Fidelio Overture. I noticed that after I finished my time monitoring sheet that, there is absolutely no reason for me not to complete my studies at GCU. I’m always available because I don’t have a job or children to take care of my only responsibility are my dogs. So now that I start school my biggest priority will be to do my school work and turn it in on time. But I did notice that I waste a lot of time doing nothing but, I guess that’s good in a way because now I can replace the time slots that I’m doing nothing, with studying so I can make better grades.
As a student who has attended Forsyth Tech previously, the combined number of classes that I have completed at this institution equals at least 40. Several of those classes included assignments which involved writing papers/essays; a few of those classes included written/oral communications classes. In all of my experience at Forsyth Tech, I have never been given an assignment that was “added” into the curriculum this late into the semester, much less an autobiography with a requirement of 10 pages; furthermore, none of the other required papers for this class come close to requiring that length or account for half of the final grade. Westchester High School has always offered a limited number of honors and advanced placement courses. Last year, to my dismay, only Mr. P. was teaching the AP Physics class I had my heart set on. From my peers, I had heard that he was an unskilled teacher because of his poor classroom management and lack of instructional time. Taking this class was very important to me because I enjoyed science, wanted a challenge, and hoped to get AP credit. So beforehand, I already knew that I would have to learn AP Physics on my own, but since I have had experience with terrible teachers before, I felt that I could handle the class and was ready for the challenge.

I have watched a lot of inspiring movies and I would say that Temple Grandin is the most striking. This movie revolves around a woman named, Temple Grandin, who became successful despite having limitations due to her autism. She graduated as college valedictorian and she also completed her Ph.D. Furthermore, the movie also shows the importance of moral support and understanding to the persons with autism for their consolation and feeling of relief. I commend the movie for effectively showing how a person with autism or disability like Temple Grandin could overcome her limitations and eventually become successful. The movie clearly emphasized that the support, help, understanding, respect and acceptance of people are some of the vital factors that influence the persons with autism to be optimistic in order to have a positive outlook in life.
As I reflect on the past 15 months of attending CCU. I recall the excitement, and the overwhelming stress of having to work full time and attend online college. I was not sure that I could complete my degree at fifty years old. Because of being out of school for over 30 years. I was somewhat reluctant to give it a try.
