The kids fifth graders at Beecher Prep were at the Nature Retreat field trip. Jack needs to find the restroom, Auggie meets up with him. There was a huge line to the bathroom so it sent the boys in search of relief in the trees. The incident involved the shooting of unarmed college students by the Ohio National Guard on Monday, May 4th, 1970.
