My research methodology gathered documents of data from specific databases analyzing the understanding of police culture. Researchers explain how there's been a considerable amount of time spent studying police culture. Paoline III has provided an in-depth review of scientific issues within the police culture which has the capacity to have an effect by a variety of study factors; describing various elements and facets of a single phenomenon among occupational members, loyalty, and the crime fighter image. The study teaches new members about the dayto- day components of police work examples: deviance, accountability, and reform efforts, the components of culture understanding the police culture. The studies show how officers perceive their working
Type or paste your English text here and click on the "Chec According to the 2010 US Census, the United States of America has a population of over 308 million people. Whilst only 1.1 million officers are employed on a full-time basis from the 2008 Census of State and Local Law Enforcement Agencies. Therefore statistically only one officer is able to protect and serve for every 280 people in the United States of America. With the numbers in police falling short it is extremely difficult to create peace within the country.
In the police culture, there are certain specifications and criteria that have to be met in order to be accepted in law enforcement. Police officers put others lives before their own. They mainly focus on protecting people and property. Their job requires finding justice, maintaining order and keeping communities safe. Police culture can promote over-entitlement through the experiences, environments, and training of police officers.
In discussions of passing the Michael brown Jr law which equips police officers to wear a body camera, one controversial issue has been that most police brutalities are not caught on tape or no witness sees what exactly happened, and who started what. The source argues that some cases of police brutalities that are caught on tape police does nothing to handle the case. My own view is that police officers should be equipped with body cameras so in case of police brutality cases they can know exactly what happened that day so there will be no questions asked for the police officers. According to article “Pass the Michael Brown, Jr. Law to begin equipping police with body cameras” that the case of Michael Brown Jr in Ferguson where Officer Darren
The writers also include that students who are "subjected to a rigid dress code would seem to have their fundamental rights invaded, and would appear to be arbitrarily coerced for no good reason" (1). It is evident how students enjoy having the permission the choose what they would like to wear without having to fear they will be violating rules against their dress. Along with expression, there is individuality. People dress the way they like with their own unique style, but some trends are not always what is considered school appropriate. One may also feel confident in certain outfits, but if they are prevented from wearing something if their administration or are dress coded while wearing it, the result is negative.
The human experience is made by being able to dress freely without someone taking away those given rights. Dressing to the way we feel gives us the chance to express ourselves like how schools want us to when we grow up, but it has to start somewhere. Students should be able to have the experiences everyone else does, if not completely, then starting with something small such as
In the article, Arguments Against School Uniforms, it says “ policies(dress codes) place limitations on freedom of expression…” This quote explains why most kids think dress codes are living nightmares. When all students look the same, it doesn’t let them express who they really are. Whenever kids wear what they want, they can express their personality through what they wear. On the contrary, the only problem about not having dress codes is that some kids bully each other for what they wear, which is totally unacceptable.
Envision waking up every morning to put on the same outfit and walk out the door, stress free. People would not have to worry about what fits, or what is fashionable at the time. Schools would not have to worry about inappropriate clothing but at the same time, that clothing may be a way for a student to express himself. Many schools view uniforms as a solution to several problems, but many schools view uniforms as a lack of self expression. School uniforms should continue, even though children may not get to express themselves, because they prohibit violence, provide cheaper lifestyles, and promote better education.
Students can express their style and identity through their clothes. Students would like the freedom to keep up with latest styles and fashion and having dress codes takes that away. Lee Rowland, “School dress codes are saying that the self-identity that you want to express through your clothes doesn 't belong here. ”(Rowland 1).
Many students that know uniforms will be beneficially, but don’t agree with school uniforms will continue to disagree with implementing them. It can be easily agreed that school uniforms may take away their self-expression in school, but what matters more in school is the way of learning. It can also be agreed that many students do not accept the self-expression of their classmates and make fun of them. Students, parents, and school administration should be able to recognize the benefits that school uniforms come with.
This shows uniforms can remove distractions from what students wear. School uniforms create a level playing field among students, reducing peer pressure and bullying. When all students are dressed alike, competition between students over clothing choices and the teasing of those who are dressed in less expensive or less fashionable outfits can be eliminated. Research by the Schoolwear Association found that 83% of teachers
Uniforms nowadays are acting as collars to students, and schools are holding the leash. Children and adolescents in school are in that adapting period of life, they want to find out and learn about consequences on their decisions. Schools need to create an environment that encourages creativity and inspire them to break out of their shell. The tradition of uniforms is a repetitive and binding curse that needs stopping. This paper tackles how school uniforms produce more problems than it could handle.
In case all students have the same clothing style, there will be no competition between students about who has a better clothing choice(Occupy Theory, 2014). This also will eliminate the thought of who is wearing more expensive than the other as students in their early ages can be sensitive towards that. Being dressed with the same school uniform all together encourages that unity concept and promotes feeling that school is considered as a second home or a small society for all its students. Spirit is raised and makes students feel that they are all alike. School uniforms make this concept socially

Furthermore, others often make a snap judgement about people based on how they are dressed and whether they are well groomed. However, people never stop to consider what a child’s clothing says about him or her, yet they should. Children face pressures today that weren’t an issue in the past. Bullying is more of a concern and children truly want to fit in.
Over 3.2 million students are victims of bullying each year, 1 in 10 students drop out of school because of repeated bullying, and 90% of 4th through 8th graders report being victims of bullying. As you can see, bullying is a very serious problem that happen in schools very often. In over 3.2 million students being bullied, there are those who are bullied because the way they are dressed. I am proposing to the motion: This house believes that students must wear school uniforms, and I believe that wearing a school uniform has a lot of advantages. In this essay, I will focus on the following points: Uniforms bring unity into schools, improves student’s behavior both in and out of school, and reduce distraction.
