Week seven, I cannot believe that we only have one more week after this one and then finals. I have learned so much in this class so I am really pleased especially because I know that by passing this class I get closer to reach my goals. Anyways, this week we learned about Swap space, cached management and the different paging policies.
Unanticipated and lasting character changes resulted from my performing with the Wissahickon Marching Unit. Humility and coping with failure were commonplace lessons in my first year, as I joined amidst a “rebuilding” season with rookies comprising more than two-thirds of the band. Though frustrating considering the quantity of time I had committed with little external validation, the end result was resilience, an unwavering dedication, and greater patience.
Additionally, diversity is important because diversity comes with diverse perspective, which will allow creative ways to maintain the unity within a community. In order for that to happen, we must teach people that the term “color blind” must be eliminated, because it creates an illusion that we are all one and the same, when in reality, we are very much different. I concluded that anyone can challenge any idea with the right preparation and

While attending the networking concepts class this semester, I have learned many things. Although I may not use most of this information, I believe that in my choice of profession I will come across a time where this information will come in handy. I have gained knowledge about the OSI model, IP addresses, and calculating subnets. Most of this information that I am about to provide was very troubling for me to learn, but because I spent a lot of time on these topics, I believe that I have gained more knowledge.
According to Wayne Camara and Amy Schmidt in “Group Differences in Standardized Testing and Social Stratification”, This is a big reason minority groups tend to do worse. The minority students who come from high socio economic households tend to do decently well on standardized testing, however, they are far from being the majority and often aren’t discussed at all when these topics come up. Unfortunately, though, as we have seen there is a still a lag of minority groups compared to other groups even when the household status is the same. This is speculated to be due to the fact that they are often lacking in academic preparation due to inner-city schools and lack of rigorous courses (Camara and Schmidt, 1999). They often come from households with low expectations and family support, which are two incredibly huge factors when it comes to academically succeeding.

“Standardized tests are unfair and discriminatory, because students with diverse backgrounds and skill levels are expected to answer questions written for the white, abled majority. " I think this point is very hard to argue with because if these tests are written for the white students, then how are students with a different background or diversity supposed to do well? One improvement could be that maybe there isn’t just one test for the whole country or the state, but instead there are multiple tests for multiple regions. Certain regions get certain tests because of the situation they are in. This makes sense and I believe it would improve the scores and even if it didn’t
Diversity can be defined as the variety of beliefs, interests, and experiences within groups of people. Redlands’ excellent ethnic diversity reveals statistics with less than half of white majority and more than half of minority students. As a Hispanic female, the word minority has traveled with me constantly. The fact that The University of Redlands encourages all minorities as well as the majority to pursue a future career captivates my attention. Truly, diversity has inspired me of to collaborate and compete with many different cultures and morals.

As I reflect on the past 15 months of attending CCU. I recall the excitement, and the overwhelming stress of having to work full time and attend online college.
