Unrenewable resources are one of the environment issue that we need to be aware. We all know that plastic bags are non-renewable resources, it is very serious to the environment pollution as buried in the soil are difficult to decompose, it can lead to soil ability to drop, it can also lead to air pollution if burning the plastic bags. So, Primark’s shopping bags now are Eco-friendly bags. Their distinctive brown paper carrier bags are environmentally friendly and made from 100% recycled cardboard as well. Primark is dong a programme which is their Environmental Sustainability Programme. The programme is including to provide training, resources and support for our suppliers and their factories in order to bring about sustainable change. Primark also work with ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals) and the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC). Primark is doing well in the environment issues so they do not need to improve too much, they just need to keep working on what they are doing now. However, Primark also can improve their environment issues in other ways. For example, they can improve to their washing, dyeing and printing operations such as to reduce the water, chemicals and energy they use and ensure that waste water is treated …show more content…

Nike is supplied by approximately 150 footwear factories located in 14 countries and most footwear are supplied from Vietnam, China, and Indonesia manufacturers. The relationships between the Nike company and suppliers are important because if Nike company takes dramatic decisions about strategy then it will affect suppliers. The same, if suppliers are not doing well then will also affect Nike company. When the sweatshop things are exposed, people were protested and Nike company’s reputation was damaged. Nike company tried hard to improve those problems. We can see from the article “How Nike Solved Its Sweatshop Problem”, it says “1996: Nike establishes a department tasked with working to improve the lives of factory laborers” and “2002-2004: The company performs some 600 factory audits between 2002 and 2004, including repeat visits to problematic factories.” Competitors Competitor is two businesses are selling similar products or services. Nike has pretty much competitors such as VANS, Adidas, POLO, PUMA and new balance etc. It will affect other competitors if Nike company operating unethical as more customers will buy other competitors’ products then Nike company will lose customers and profits. Also, it may put Nike company on spotlight if there are some problems in Nike
