By using the competing values framework as a point of reference, it seems that Verizon’s current organizational culture is a clan culture, the reason being is Verizon invested all the time and all the resources to help educate the workforce (Kinicki & Williams, 2013). See the competing value clan culture is “an internal focus and values flexibility rather than stability and control, such as cohesion, participation, and empowering people” (Kinicki & Williams, 2013, slide 22).
