Divergent is the first dystopian novel of Veronica Roth, published by Katherine Tegen Books in 2011. It is first of the Divergent trilogy, followed by Insurgent and Allegiant. This speculative fiction book can be compared to other young adult books such as “The hunger games” and “The maze runner” because of its similar motif and targeted audience, the structural and stylistic pattern of divergent also follows the pattern of the respective books. Divergent has found itself the first place on my list of my favorite books. In fact, I read all 500 pages of divergent in just two nights, it’s that addictive. “Becoming fearless isn’t the point.
