Many pet owners around the world are abusing dogs, but some people disagree and think it’s not harming them. There are laws that were put in place to protect them. There are many dogs that fall through the cracks and who are left roaming streets in search of food and shelter. Some citizens don’t know that Veterinarians can also report animal abuse. “Even veterinarians who are well aware of the implications of animal abuse are discouraged from intervening because the system just doesn’t support them” (Adams). The people should put this to an end and let these poor pets be happy and train them not to be mean and scary but it’s always the pet owners fault if the pets are aggressive. Also, the system of the Veterinarians knows when the pet owners are cruel to their pets and they will do something about it, like claim a report. When adopting a pet or even thinking about adopting people should think about it first. For example, It’s like taking care of a baby; a baby doesn’t know what it’s doing when its growing up so that’s why there are the parents to show the baby what to do and what not to do.
