Career Research Paper
The career I have always wanted to pursue is veterinary medicine. I believe that becoming a veterinarian would be a lot of hard work but very rewarding. Ever since I remember I have always loved animals, it would be a dream of mine to be able to work with all types of animals for my job. I have also wanted a job that helps people and helping people with their pets would be the best job because I love to help and work with animals. Ever since I was little I have always had a passion for animals.
This career has evolved all the way back till 9,000 BC in the Middle East. Tending to sheep and treating the guard dogs that watch over the herd of sheep. Thousands of years later between 4,000 and 3,000 BC in Egypt, the treatment of animals changed tremendously. Ancient humans began domesticating cats, fowl, and dogs. At this point of time the veterinary field is still very undeveloped to what it is today. As the field is developing everyday in 1850 archaeologists discovered fragments of an ancient veterinary medical textbook made of papyrus.

The main question is, how many vet schools should you apply for? It is recommended that you apply to around 4 to 7 veterinary schools. After you apply to vet schools, you will need to go for an interview to get into the veterinary school. You will go to the veterinary school that you got accepted in for about 4 years. Once you complete your four years of veterinary school and experiences, you will have to complete D.V.M. (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) or V.M.D. (Veterinariae Medicinae Doctoris) degree, you also have to take the NAVLE (North American Veterinary LIcensing Examination) in order to practice veterinary medicine in the United
