Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck is a powerful book about a tight bond between two companions during the difficult and often unfair Great Depression. The two main characters and best friends are George and Lennie. Lennie is a little kid trapped in a large man’s body, forgetful, and stronger than he knows what to do with, while George is the mentally sharp, thoughtful planner. The two friends first appear in the book jobless and carrying their bindles to yet another worksight. From then on (and even in their recalling of the past) they have to overcome many challenges of their time by standing by each other’s sides throughout the book.

I know that The Art Institute is a well-known and well-respected school with great teachers who can help me improve and expand my knowledge on photography. I know some fields of art are really hard to get into after college, so I really want a good education so that I will eventually be able to establish a great career after college, which I feel this school will be able to provide to me. I'm still learning about photography and I hope to increase my artistic skills and I think that attending this school will be great for me to do so. Pop Art is an art movement that began in Britain during the mid-1950s. It began to get popular in the United States by the late 1950s. Eduardo Paolozzi and Richard Hamilton were the first to influence Pop Art in Britain while Robert Rauschenberg and Jasper Johns were part of the early years in the United States. Pop Art uses parts of mass culture such as advertising, comic books and everyday cultural objects. It often uses images from advertising.
I decided to write my essay on the Andy Warhol exhibition because I was not only intrigued by his action packed life history, but even more importantly by his outstanding work. I find it very interesting to see the gradual development and variation of his work that reflected on what was happening in his life and in the world at that time. His work is very personal to his life but also to the American public, and I believe and he finds a clear way to portray this through his work. The brain and how it works has been something very captivation for the human mind. Van Wedeen is a scientist that been analyzing how the brain works He has stored hundreds of brains of different kinds in 3-D images. His collection goes from monkeys, rats, and humans brain. This scientist is “ creating in unprecedented detail representations of the brain's wiring: the network of some 100,000 miles of nerve fibers, called white matter, that connects the various components of the mind. Through this kind of network neuroscientist can see the brain’s flaws, which give them the capacity to identify differences in the structure of ordinary brains and also, brains of people with some disorders such as schizophrenia, autism, and Alzheimer's disease.
