Vincent willem van gogh, He is a famous artist and major painter. He had many artwork more than 2000 piece such as landscape, visual image and painter. His work had influence for modern art. At first people disagree his work but when he died his work is popular.
Vincent Willem van Gogh was a Dutch post-impressionist painter who was very influential on 20th century art. He was born in Groot-Zundert ,Netherlands, 1853. In contrast to the impressionists, Van Gogh’s works were known for portraying symbolic content, formal order, and structure. Post-impressionists believed that color should be independent from the composition’s form and structure to portray emotion and to narrate a story. Post-impressionist continued to use vivid color, thick application of paint, and proper geometric form, but distorted all aspects to express effect.
He was self-taught artist, who went on to change the face of earlier impressionism forever. Vincent van Gogh’s art was for his emotion, mostly when he was fighting with depression.
Vincent Van Gogh once said, “Great things are done by a series of small things brought together.” * In 1853 a brilliant painter was born in the Netherlands. Little did he know that his journey would influence some of the most emotional and aesthetic paintings the world has ever seen, making it the most important artist from an expression standpoint. The artist was chosen due to the “colorful” life he lived. It was full of joy, pain, sorrow, insanity and humbleness, through which, he transformed the emotion into a beautiful piece of art.
He saw life without a filter on, and captured both the wondrous and beautiful aspects of life, but the dark and bitter truths of the world. He was very connected to nature, and painted similar to impressionists. His style was still different, so he wasn’t considered to have an impressionist style. Another painter who admired Van Gogh as well as envied him, named Paul Gauguin, would critique his work. They became both buddies and rivals.
With the exception of a few months in an art academy and some professional advice, van Gogh was a self-taught artist who went on to contribute to a movement known as Post-impressionism. Inspired by the works of the Impressionist and other Post-impressionist, van Gogh used his work as an outlet for his emotion thus developing a unique style which continues to be emulated by artist today. Over a 10-year career, van Gogh produced more than 2,100 works of art consisting of drawings, oil paintings, and watercolors. But the sad truth is that his work did not become famous till years after his death, selling only one piece of art during his lifetime. Some of his most notable pieces include The Potato Eaters, Starry Night, and The Night Cafe.
Most of his art works show his respect to capture a momentary aspect of nature, especially to convey the atmosphere effects of light. He had many famous painting such as Impression Sunrise, Rouen Cathedral series, Water Lilies, Haystacks, and Poplars. My favor one is Water Lilies that were painted in 1906. “Water Lilies” art work was a great example of outdoor

, What was his story?, one might ask. His full name is Vincent Willem Van Gough and he was born on March the 30th 1853, and died on July the 29th 1890. Unfortunately he struggled
Throughout his life, he remained poor and unknown despite the fact of being a very talented artist. He did not become absolutely famous until after his death. According to Nathalie Heinich (1996) in her book “The Glory of Van Gogh”, “But it is not enough to tell how the Van Gogh who died in 1890 became the Van Gogh celebrated in the 1990s.” (pg. 1). It is not evident as to why he became extremely famous after his death but it is a known fact.
Van Gogh's unrestrained passion and euphoric contemplation of life, nature, and art, his intense spirituality and religious ardour, his generous, zealous, and truthful temperament, and especially, his violent and mysterious ailments and suicide at age thirty-seven have all contributed to impacting and occasionally inaccurate theories that can shadow a precise understanding of the important painter. The time Van Gogh spent at Arles, St. Remy, and Auvers allowed Vincent to paint at a close to feverish pace, until he felt "broke and crazy" (L 513, July 1888). In the last two and a half years of his life he produced the highest-volume and most
Every time a work is studied, more and more details can be seen which are commonly overlooked. It is similar to the reading of a novel. An artist’s work attempts to tell a story that can be deciphered through a detailed analysis. Vincent van Gogh is a prime example of all of these concepts. His past directly relates to how his works are made, and he is able to tell a story through each piece that gives the observer the ability to relate
