Elections for President of the United States are coming up soon, and I could not be more excited. However, with Donald Trump predicted to win the Republican nomination, and possibly be our next President, I feel that it is more important than ever to vote in this election, and to vote wisely. As a democrat, I feel it is important for me to vote in an intelligent way, considering that we only have three candidates in the running. In the election, I plan to vote for Hillary Clinton. If she doesn’t win the nomination, I will vote for Bernie Sanders. I would never vote for Donald Trump. Elections are a big deal, which is why it is important to know who you’re voting for. My first choice for President would be Hillary Clinton. She has a lot of political experience, from being the first lady to the Secretary of State, and a New York Senator. However, the one candidate who would never get my vote is Donald Trump. He is too overbearing, as I learned from the debates, and he is much too opinionated. When we did the press pool activity, I learned that Donald Trump is pro-life, and supported some restrictions with gun rights, but not many. Donald Trump is not unpopular, though. He is actually in the lead for the republican candidates, and I understand why. There are so many candidates running for the republican candidate, and many of them don’t speak a lot. Donald Trump, however, cannot keep his mouth shut, and manages to make himself known to everyone. His face is everywhere, and he seems to be the first person people think of when they think about the election. However, maybe if people started watching the debates and paying attention to what Donald Trump actually says, including his grandiose plans for a giant wall, then maybe the public will understand why Donald Trump isn’t a good choice for the Presidential
