The first comparison was on overall design. I felt they differed more than they are alike. Wal-Mart employed neutral, understated tones while Target used bright, noticeable colors. The pictures selected also varied. Walmart decided to incorporate pictures of products, typically by themselves, and Target elected to use pictures of products on display and in use, or on models. However, both websites utilized bold, easy to read headings with easy to understand wording. The second comparison considered navigation, a major factor that might sway your decision when shopping online. If a site is too difficult to navigate, chances of growing frustrated, and searching elsewhere, may be higher.
