When pondering the idea of how one will be accepted on a college campus they need to know what programs are offered. In order for everyone to feel at home there needs to be a safety zone. Here at Arkansas Tech there is an Ally Training class from the Diversity and Inclusion Office. At the end of each seminar there are stickers that each person can take to hang on their door. That allows a student to know that their office is a safe zone.
The mission for the Johnston Community College (JCC) Child Development Center is to produce an early childhood education that would meet the needs of the families whom are being served, by providing a nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. They believe in training teachers to work with young children in loving respectful ways, that would enrich their environment.
