The first thing that comes to an intruder mind is how well the asset is secure. Maximum security assets have some level of psychological deterring effects on intruders, in addition to reflecting confidence into security directors’ capabilities. Therefore, as a future security professional, security system's capabilities should be advertised, because it has more pros than cons.
To understand the Psychology of Maximum Security, we need to define maximum security. “Maximum security is security-in-depth” (Fennelly, 2017, p. 70). If several security systems are installed in places, it might be harder for provokers to get to valuable assets. As an example, Israel built a first defense line, a security fence, that ran and the West Bank to stop terrorists from easily infiltrating into Israel land. Additionally, Israel installed various security systems, like underground intruders’ sensors, landmines, and military paths. To achieve maximum security, all security details must be included in the Physical security plan. As an example, in a high-threat environment it is not enough to have a physical security plan for a military installation that just identifies its security force, response force, and guidance on the coordination process local law enforcement, but must also list the criteria indicators which activates a maximum-security level and types of physical barriers and extra sophisticated alarm systems that must be used to achieve maximum
