In the Code Talkers, Ned learns American ways and goes to serve in World War Two by being a Code Talker. In the novel, it shows the ability to find strength and courage through one's culture. The four examples I choose was Ned not wanting to forget his language, doing the Blessingsway ceremony, working hard/not giving up, and learning self-confidence as a marine. When Ned was in boarding school the teachers would punish Navajo children if the spoke Navajo. For some, the punishment was bad enough that it was hard to speak Navajo, but for Ned, it made him not want to forget it.
The article does a significant job of providing evidence. The narrator gives experiences with students and compares and contrast students from the fifties to students now. The narrator talks about how writing is different and how students imaginations are not as good as they once were. The purpose for the article is to show how technology is slowly starting to rupture to imaginations of children.
In “The Inheritance of Tools” Scott Russell Sanders recounts his memories of his deceased father. Because most of his memories of his father center on carpentry, Sanders talks frequently about the carpentry tools that were passed from Sanders’s grandfather, to Sanders’s father, to Sanders himself (par. 2). Throughout the essay, Sanders uses the passing down of carpentry tools from generation to generation to symbolize the passing down of tools for life: passions, knowledge, life lessons, memories, and values. With the tools comes the knowledge of how to use them and the passion to do so.
The United States suffered a blow to the economic infrastructure leading to loss of the use of bank accounts, automated teller machines along with non-access to bank accounts from a large denial of service attack. This poses a clear issue to the United States infrastructure which could lead to identity theft of bank information as well as other critical infrastructure being targeted as a result from this successful attack. Beyond losing the access to the accounts of the citizens of the United States, the general view of the United States government could become compromised with the people becoming angered as a result of this attack. The next steps are the most critical to ensure that the security of the Infrastructure of the United States does not become compromised again. The attack through the use of Denial of Service on the bank accounts as well as the economic systems that are used in the United States, show a high level of sophistication.
Education 428 Week 9 Article Review and Comparison March 26, 2017 Myra Munroe In the first article I chose to review, texting, reading and other social activities are not seen as literate activities by teachers who state that “students are just not reading and writing anymore.” (Irvin, Meltzer, Dukes 2017)
There is a shift to focus on literacy over all else, even at the preschool age level, where it may not be as developmentally appropriate (Tobin et al., 2009, p.183). A relatable example of this is when the American preschool teacher at St. Timothy’s stated, “We have to explain, justify out approach more than we used to: Cutting with a scissors and playing with Play-doh teach fine motor control, which will help with holding a pen” (Tobin, 2009, p. 167) Another teacher was taking pictures of children doing activities to prove that learning was taking place (Tobin et al., 2009, p.164). This pressure to keep records and justify, was an instance that I very much related to while reading.

New technology can often be disruptive on some people like students or even teachers. Now, thanks to digitization, a lot of people won’t hand write like they use to. Nowadays formal writing is almost always ignored and it is because of digitization. Technology is winning the battle here. We are losing the ability to write by hand and thinking by ourselves.
When it comes to this theory, the theory does not tell the public what to think but what to think about. This is one of the theories that can be used to explain about the contents in the article on ‘How the Internet Changed the way we read’. The information that is contained in this article clearly sets the agenda on how the public is thinking about and even the issues that the public is talking about. As much as the content is no longer in the books or most Americans are not getting it from published terms, it is understood that the internet has in a great way made it clear that the public can still get information and utilize it in the best ways possible which will aid in making the public to think about some topics that are being put across(Johnson,2013).

You see others do all the wrong things but have amazing results to show for it yet with all your goodness and apparels of integrity, there is no evidence to show you have the backing of providence.
