It goes back all the way back to ancient times. The earliest examples of welding come from the Bronze Age. Small gold circular boxes were made by pressure welding lap joints together. It is estimated that these boxes were made more than 2,000 years ago.

I myself have been thinking about becoming a welder for sometime and understand that it is a hard working job. I believe that I can do really well in this field. I have found what I need to do and am willing to do. I need to first complete high school and graduate with my high school diploma. Then I would go to trade school, hopefully Traviss Technical College. There I will complete the welding program and training. From there I should only go up learning more and more. I will learn how to land a weld, and complete and earn my certification.

Some jobs that are related to welding are Boilermakers install and maintain boiler systems. Boilermakers assemble, install, maintain, and repair boilers, closed vats, and other large vessels or containers that hold liquids and gases. Another one related to welding is ironworkers. They help in the demolition, decommissioning, and rehabilitation of older buildings and bridges.
