What Are The Arguments Against Macroevolution?

1286 Words6 Pages

Evolutionist’s main argument for evolution is their alleged proof through the fossil records. According to them, the top layer of strata shows the most recent life forms, while the lowest layer shows the most primitive forms of life.
Fossil records
The fossil record is confirmation of once living creatures and the layer that they are found in provides a timeline of when they existed. If the fossil record supported macroevolution, then it would show a progression of simple to more complex structures. The fossil record actually shows an explosion of life in the Cambrian rock layer. The Precambrian rock layer shows bacteria and a few multicellular organisms, and then the Cambrian rock includes several complex structures including marine life, …show more content…

Microevolution is evolutionary change within a species or small group of organisms, especially over a short period. Macroevolution is showcases major evolutionary change and applies mainly to the evolution of whole taxonomic groups over long periods of time, which breaks the law of biogenesis as previously stated. Mutations are theorized to be the main mechanism for macroevolution, but mutations are not enough when explaining the natural formation of complex structures. Medical doctor, Joseph Kuhn describes in his article, “Dissecting Darwinism,” the limitations of mutations and irreducible complexity of cellular systems in macroevolution. As stated before, an irreducible complex system is a structure which needs all of its parts to exist and function simultaneously in order for it to work. In macroevolution, small mutations occur over time and a new structure is theorized to eventually form, but there are 17 examples in the human body of an irreducibly complex system. If a mutation occurred to produce a part of an eye it would be useless because a part of an eye does not work, an eye needs all parts to work since it is an irreducibly complex system. An additional limitation to mutations is to what can mutate. When a creature undergoes a mutation, it is a change of a DNA sequence already existing. Mutations never create new DNA; it either replicates it or alters it. Therefore, a reptile will never mutate to where they grow feathers because it is not in its DNA. As a result, mutations cannot naturally create an irreducibly complex system and cannot create a new DNA sequence. Scientists do not want society to know the limitations of mutations which hinders their theory. They mislead people about their main mechanism for
