The Creation and Evolution Debate

The Creation and evolution debate has drawn tremendous amounts of attention since Charles Darwin created the theory of evolution in 1844. The argument has risen up major conflicts throughout the years and there are many rigid followers on each side. The reason for this is that this debate challenges the philosophical opinions of each person. In this essay evidence will be presented from both sides, forming the conclusion that evolution is flawed and cannot be scientifically correct.

According to Kent Hovind, a young earth creationist, the Sahara Dessert is evidence of a young earth. If the evolutionists were correct and earth was millions of years old, then the Carioles Effect, amplified by earths slowing rotation, would have been much more powerful and the Sahara would have extended to its maximum size. The subsequent point is that of the increasing populace. One billion people lived on earth in 1810 and in less than 200 years, the population had extended to six billion. If creationists are correct then this fits in with their philosophy if earth started 4,000 years ago, with Noah and his family.
