News reporters, journalists, and camera crews all faced challenges on the day of September 11th, 2001. It was a day of confusion, destruction and loss. People watched and listed to the news to find out what was actually happening. Shortly after the two planes struck the North & South Twin Towers, they collapsed. There was falling debris. Fires were being started in other buildings because of the falling debris. Power lines were down. The F.M. radio satellite was out of reach. Phone lines were jammed with all of the millions of calls being made. When the building had fallen the steel was still melting. The melting steel made the ground excessively hot which melted the shoes of the reporters. Because of all the chemicals in the air
