Two years later we entered Iraq. Many soldiers that were deployed over seas returned home with disabilities, or didn 't return home at all. 9/11 was a scary and devastating time for many families. So basically, these towers lasted about 28 years. Some people believe the people involved was our government such as the President, the Vice President, the Chief Justice, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Senate Majority Leader, and the Congress.
At 8:46 AM, the first plane hit the first tower on the 93rd floor. After that a second plane crashed into the 2nd tower at 9:03AM. Little did the world know this was only the beginning. At 9:37AM a third plane crashed into the west side of the Pentagon. The final plane, FLight 93 crashed in a field in Pennsylvania at 10:07AM killing everyone on board.

America completely changed after 9/11 nobody’s life was the same, everyone from the President of the United States to the mailman felt the effects of 9/11, and that included my Grandfather. My grandfather is named Vernon Cotten and he is a judge in a small town in Mississippi called Carthage that has a population of 5,000. He remembers the tragedy vividly.

On September 11, 2001, an infamous tragedy occurred. Two planes hijacked by terrorists were flown into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center and caused both towers to collapse along with the people inside. Later, a third hijacked plane crashed into the Pentagon in Washington, Dc. This incident killed thousands and brought America to its lowest of lows. In response, President George W. Bush delivered a speech to America and others from the Oval Office.
Fifteen years ago on 9/11 our world faced a tragic event we wouldn’t soon forget. On 9/11 our World Trade Center that is located in the great state of New York were brought down by Osama BIn Laden and his clan Al Qaeda. This moment in history played a big part in shaping our country today. The attack on 9/11 shaped our country not only by the destroying of the buildings but also by the people we lost in the event.
9/11 shaped the majority of my thoughts and ideas has well. Thus, the 9/11
Initally, al-Qaeda considered targeting nuclear power plants on 9/11, but decided to go against it because they feared it would get too out of control. Four passenger airlines, all of which departed from airports in the northeastern United States bound for California, were hijacked by 19 al-Qaeda members. One plane hit the Pentagon just outside of Washington D.C., the second plane crashed in a field in Pennslyvania, and the last two planes crashed into the Twin Towers. Within one hour and 42 minutes both 110 story towers were completely on the ground, with debris filling the air and fires starting to spread.
The terrorist attacks on 9/11 have caused many debates over the years since they occurred back in 2001. Two American planes were hijacked and ran into the twin tower buildings, another was hijacked and headed for the pentagon, but thankfully never made it. Thousands of Americans lost their lives on the days of the attacks and to this day the sorrow hangs with us. Security was a huge debate of the time because America is supposed to be the safest nation there is, so how did this happen? America had lots of changes to make the attacks on September 11, 2001.
It showed that even the most powerful country in the world was subject to attack. This attack exposed the vulnerability of the United States as a nation. The 9/11 attacks changed the country forever; some lost family members, friends, and those who survived are forever hunted by the events of September 11, 2001. The entire country was in pandemonium including my family.
