Chris McCandless, the main character of the novel Into The Wild, had faced many problems throughout his life. He had contained many stages of internal and external conflict. The biggest challenge he faced internally was the thought of his father having to families to control. When Chris was younger his father would sneak away for days at a time to visit his “other” family.
