I believe that overall, I performed these assessments and practical well. One strengths I believe I demonstrated was my explanation of how to exactly perform each task within each assessment. I believe that my explanations and demonstrations of each movement during each part of the assessments were in understandable terms. With this, I also provided easy instructions for the patient to follow. Another strength that stood out to me was my allowance to let the client make safe mistakes during the assessments, especially during the cognitive aspects of assessments. I think I could improve on explaining why the assessments were being performed in a way that would be more appropriate to the client and check to make sure they understood what I meant. This is an important component to not only build therapeutic rapport, but also to increase the client’s confidence in me. This could be improved by relating it back to the client in a way that directly ties into their life. Also, I could improve my confidence in the practical skills required in the assessments. Improving my confidence would be important in building the trust of my clients which would help build therapeutic rapport. I think the development of confidence during the performance of practical skills will most likely come from time and experience with physically performing them. Lastly, another skill I would like to improve is my accuracy when performing various parts of assessments. This is important to improve because my assessments may be inaccurate, providing incorrect data that is truly not reflective of the client’s abilities. This could lead to future inconsistencies or provide an intervention plan that is not targeting what the client truly needs. Multiple sections of my video, including the assessment of saccades, goniometry of elbow flexion and extension, and manual muscle testing of wrist flexion and extension, contained errors. These are important skills during practice and ones that I plan on developing more in the future through a lot of experience and
