To me freedom means being able to wake up and feel safe. Freedom is being able to speak or act and not feel restricted. I am grateful for the freedom I have but I am also a little concerned. To me freedom is something you should honor and cherish. I do realize that what freedom means to me and what freedom can mean to someone else can be very different.
Freedom comes at a price, yet not one that normal free citizens have to pay. We have our freedom handed to us, but our veterans sacrifice their lives so we can have freedom; and for that I am grateful. Freedom has also been molded by our past and present presidents. They play a big role in freedom. First amendment: “Congress shall make no
According to dictionary.com, freedom means “political or national independents”, but in reality it means much more than that. During the revolutionary war, four thousand four hundred and thirty-five lives were lost in order to gain independence and freedom for all Americans. I believe that freedom means that people can express themselves however they want and that they can make decisions for themselves. I think that this is true because people can choose their religion, have the freedom of speech, and can stand up for what they believe is right. Freedom of religion was part of the First Amendment to the Declaration of Independence, which means that people are able to choose their religion and can freely worship.
Webster Dictionary defines freedom as a “political right”. To me, freedom is much more than that. Freedom gives me and the people of America the right to do anything we want; it allows us to be ourselves no matter where you come from, or who you are. Unfortunately, America has not always been this way; people of different races were treated like trash on the sidewalk. Frederick Douglass had a first-hand experience to this treatment, and he knew what it was like before America allowed everyone to actually be “free”.
Freedom is the ability to love whomever we want, It is when you give without expecting a favor, It is the power to forgive when you've been mistaken, it is the capability to do right without being proud of it. To me Freedom is America, Freedom is the 13 horizontal stripes and the 50 stars waving in the wind, and finally Freedom is for everyone to be equal, yet different in his or her own way. Freedom to me is America, as simple as that. On July 4th, 1776 America gained freedom from Great Britain, for this is one of the most important dates in American history.
Freedom (liberty) is the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without resistance. Freedom is America's honor, and honor comes with obligations and we have the obligation to use our freedom wisely. We can accept or reject the obligations, but we must choose well. I'm a patriot for country because of the freedoms that I have. One way we have our freedom is because of the Declaration of Independence and first ten Amendments of the Constitution or The Bill of Rights.
To me, freedom is expensive, rare, and absolutely necessary to America. Freedom can be expensive. During the American Revolutionary War, more than 25,000 American patriots died while in active service. This war also cost 151 million US dollars. The Revolutionary War was fought by citizens hundreds of years ago to grant the many freedoms that we, as Americans, experience today.
Many people initially define freedom as not being forced to do something. The longing to do things our way is part of our human nature. But Nelson Mandela once said: “...to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that… enhances the freedom of others.” As an American I may enjoy the freedom and safety that was endowed upon me as well as use it to assist others.
Freedom can have many meetings to many people. Freedom to some may mean to be free in a trapped society filled with rules and regulations. Freedom can be revealed to the naked eye in things such as laws, organizations, and even clubs. Freedom to me is living your life however you choose, wherever you choose, and whenever you choose to do so. Angela Davis had once lost those privileges.
The Bible was composed more than a time of about 1,500 years by various creators. In spite of the fact that it is seen as one book, its really a gathering of numerous books. It is called God's Word despite the fact that God did not physically compose it. Rather, God worked through ordinary individuals, motivated by Him, to record what Christians acknowledge as the Bible.
Freedom is a cost. Freedom cost the lives of millions of men and woman who served for our country. Americans lost their lives and missed their family members just so we can have freedom. Abraham Lincoln once said “Those who deny freedom do not deserve it for themselves.” Again, freedom means different things for different people.
What Freedom Means to Me Freedom: the quality or state of being free. My definition of freedom is for people not to be ruled brutally and to have the right to say, write, and believe in what they want to. President Abraham Lincoln fought to keep his country together and to give the same rights to everyone in the United States. To begin with, when I think of freedom, I think of the U.S.A., but freedom isn’t just for the U.S., it’s for other countries too. But sadly some countries aren’t free; they’re under a *dictatorship, like China, Cuba, and North Korea.
what does freedom mean to me Freedom means to do what you want when you want so you have the right to speak when you want you also have the right to bare arms so you have the right to own a gun and to protect your home another right is to go where ever you want whenever you want. And you have the right to an attorney if you can't afford one. That is some of the rights that we have today there is a lot more rights to be said but that is all i will say right now.
Never in my life have I been asked this question but after reading the first week’s lectures, it is becoming clear to me. Liberty means I am not a slave, I am free. Liberty means I can make my own decisions, express my points of view, beliefs and opinion. My definition of slavery is simply put as: personal property or belonging to someone else. Liberty means I am not a slave of the government
Freedom means the power or right to act, speak, or think without restraint, and the state of not being imprisoned or enslaved. Freedom is the correction to do what he/she wants, live life, and eat what he/she wants. How do we live free? We live free by not judging other people’s freedom rights. Everyone has their own rights.
