The purpose of this article is to explain the influences that stakeholders have on a private sectors aims and objectives and on a voluntary sectors aims and objectives. Aims are broader and are achieved in the long run whereas objectives are more specific and are achieved in the short run. Objectives have to be SMART: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time based. Private sector organisation: The main aim of a private sector organisation is to maximise its profits. The main objective is to reach the aim and they do this by having objectives such as; increasing sales revenue by 50% within the next 6 months, raising profit margins by 8% by the next two months.
