Currently, the women’s healthcare organization, Planned Parenthood has been within the eye of the media and the talk of the politicians for its practices, mainly concerning abortions procedures performed within these facilities. In order
With almost half the nation divided among their views, abortion remains one of the most controversial topics in our society. Since Roe v. Wade, our views in society as well as following court cases have been progressing toward the woman’s right to choose. The precedent set by Roe v. Wade made the Supreme Court acknowledge that it cannot rule specifically when life begins and it also affirms that it is the woman’s right to have an abortion under the 14th Amendment. In the 1st Amendment, the Establishment Clause forbids the government from passing laws “which aid one religion, aid all religions, or prefer one religion over another”. Many Christian pro-lifers use their religious beliefs to dispute when life begins.
Planned Parenthood is a topic that is continuously discussed in correlation with the concept of money as many believe that it “...emphasizes abortions instead of preventative care” (Attira). Because of birthrights, abortions, and the controversy that surrounds such issues, many individuals believe that the government should not be responsible for providing funding. Therefore, actually defunding Planned Parenthood is often brought up as a solution to the highly-debated consensus of government-funded healthcare services. Although many believe that creating a barrier between opinion and action is a positive push, actually defunding the program would be more catastrophic than perceived. Defunding Planned Parenthood would mean blocking and preventing individuals from receiving the health care that they are reliant on.
Abortion is not only a fluctuating concept in our society, but an ethical and emotional debate, as well. The image I have chosen presents concepts from a cultural and historical background, as well as presents an ethical, emotional, and logical appeal to the audience. The debate about abortion has simply been overblown and exhausted. The truth of the matter is, abortion is murder. Ending a life, whether innocent or guilty, is murder.
While abortion clinics are recognized as safe spaces for women seeking to terminate their pregnancies, they are also battlegrounds where the abortion controversy is fought. Often times abortion clinics will have ‘pro-life’ supporters and anti-abortion groups protesting outside the building - harassing and screaming at women and physicians entering and exiting the facility. Protests against abortion clinics take form every year as violent hate crimes such as the mass shootings of abortion clinics, brutal murders of both women seeking abortions and physicians performing them, and the bombings of large clinics (Stack). Abortion remains at the center of nationwide controversy, with politicians using their stance on abortion as a critical part of their
Many people are protesting and causing an uproar all over the world. They also provide abortions that are immoral and go against many people’s beliefs, including my own. This is why I believe that abortions should be made illegal and Planned Parenthood should no longer receive funding from the United States government. The disgust with planned parenthood causes many protests and arguments around the world and most of the uproar is because of the abortions that their centers provide. These arguments and fights have been going on for decades and the reasoning behind them leads us right back to abortion.
Throughout the past few years, the organization Planned Parenthood has gone through an overabundance of controversy and fabrications. Planned Parenthood is one of the world’s largest healthcare providers, offering sexual education and reproductive health care to over five million women and men worldwide every year. The majority of the group’s opposition contests it for the notion that they provide unwarranted and immoral abortion procedures. However, only 3% of Planned Parenthood’s services are abortion procedures. The rest of the the organization’s amenities include STI/STD testing, cervical cancer screening, breast exams, Pap tests, and more immensely crucial healthcare facilities for the men and women of America.
Lead by the conservative politicians, their aims have been to cut federal funding so that Federal dollars are not going towards abortions. Annas and Mariner (2011) discuss the issues presented to Barack Obama when attempting to pass the Affordable Care Act. He spoke in 2010, reassuring the American people that federal money would not be spent on abortions (p. 1590). With the recent election in America, Trump and the Republican government will bring up issues involving funding to Planned Parenthood. Trump’s Vice-President, Mike Pence has been a strong advocate against Planned Parenthood for several years (Ziegler, 2012, p. 724).
One of the most effective and crucial programs for women’s health is currently under attack by the so-called president of the United States, Donald Trump. In an attempt to convince the people that he is willing to stand up for everyone, including the unborn, but instead, Mr. Trump is oppressing women and taking away their rights as human beings. Without Planned Parenthood, 2.5 million men and women would be left without affordable, high-quality health care. One in five women have visited a Planned Parenthood in their lifetime. The fact that all of the care and help Planned Parenthood gives can all be lost due to something as petty as abortion services is almost laughable.
Planned Parenthood is one of the nation 's largest and leading health care provider that offers affordable health care to many trivialized individuals and families. This institution ensures Americans have access to a health care system for the unfortunate while still providing quality care. Although the media and numerous reports have brought up issues in regards to Planned Parenthood, many of the objections to the Institution is focused on one subject at hand and not the overall mission alone. The issues in regard to Planned Parenthood is the opposition that the government should not eliminate funding for this organization due to the abortion services provided. However, Planned Parenthood offers many other services that without this Institution many people would be without affordable quality health care.
A frequently debated topic in today’s society is abortion. There are many different arguments for each case. Many are for abortion and just as many ate against it. They are known as the pro-abortionist and the ant-abortionist. Pro-abortionist believe that although the decision to have an abortion is not easy, the mother is the only one that has that right.
Abortion is a huge controversial issue that we have in the world today. The definition of abortion is to deliberately terminate a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy. There are people who are pro-life supporters and feel abortion is an immoral act, and they would even consider it as murder. They believe life begins when the sperm fertilizes the egg during sexual intercourse. Pro-life supporters, believe that abortion should be illegal because it denies the unborn fetus from having any chance at life.
