In about 85 percent of bullying cases, no intervention or effort is made by a teacher or administration member of the school to stop the bullying from taking place (Facts About School Bullying and Bullying Behaviors 1). To this day young adults have been suffering because of bullying that range from hurt feelings and bruises to suicide and death. Bullying can harm a person both physically and verbally which can scar a teen for life. Any person is capable of being victimized by a bully. Currently people are trying their best to spread awareness of bullying so that people could start acting and standing up against it. Unless someone has the courage and determination to prevent bullying, the injustice will continue on for more generations to come. Bullying of young adults in high school is an injustice that affects students both physically, emotionally and socially. But it is one that is almost a rite of passage because it is so prevalent in our generation and schools. Bullying is an injustice that has been going on for too long and it has to be stopped once and for all.
According to most dictionaries, bullying is act of using superior strength or influence to intimidate someone, typically to force him or her to do what one wants. This gets more dangerous in high school since there is more freedom for the students. High schoolers tend to make bad choices which eventually affect the rest of their lives. Verbal bullying involves words which are more painful than regular kicks and punches. Verbal bullying includes name calling, insults, teasing, intimidation, homophobic and racist remarks.
