What is food sustainability? Sustainable agriculture is a way of growing or raising food, including animals, in an ecologically and ethically responsible manner using practices that protect the environment, safeguard human health, are humane to farm animals, and provide fair treatment to worker.
The global food system makes a significant contribution to climate changing greenhouse gas emissions with all stages in the supply chain, from agricultural production through processing, distribution, retailing, home food preparation and waste, playing a part. It also gives rise to other major environmental impacts, including biodiversity loss and water extraction and pollution. This presentation will go through the following problems and solutions. (problems and solutions dot points)
Climate change. Climate change is a fundamental threat to global food security, sustainable development and poverty eradication. t least 14% of global greenhouse gas emissions come directly from the

Over cropping is when soil loses is fertility because too many crops were grown on it. The nutrients in the soil are depleted and would no longer be able to support the growth of new crops. The solution to this is already being used by many farmers across the world today. The solution is “4 field crop system” when crops are planted on 1 of 4 different fields, each year the field changes.
Water pollution. Water pollution is any chemical, physical or biological change in the quality of water that has a harmful effect on any living thing that drinks or uses or lives in it. When humans drink polluted water it often has serious effects on their health. Water pollution can also make water unsuited for the desired use. Usually water pollution is caused by the waste from sewage, and factories. Water pollution is a serious problem for agriculture and food security, because to grow crops we need water, but when the water is polluted the crops die, or get infection. Here are some solutions to
