Global Warming is a Danger to Our World
Our society is the main cause of our earth dying. Global warming is becoming worse every year, and it all leads back to our exertion. Winters are hot, glaciers are melting. What is happening? Global warming is happening. The deforestation of the earth is removing a natural CO2 removal system making the problem worse. “Burning fossil fuels produces carbon dioxide (CO2), a greenhouse gas that absorbs heat from the sun, causing the temperature of the atmosphere to increase” (occupythoery.org). Starvation, malnutrition, and increased deaths is happening due to food and crop shortages. Oceans have risen eight inches since 1961. Believers say this rise is due to expansion caused by warmer temperature and melting ice. Global temperatures rose about to 1 to 1.4F during the last century. With that in mind, we will undoubtedly over exceed our needs of fuel and will eventually just hurt our environment and our health. These harmful effects cause many side effects in our health. Even if we do not see results of it right away, it will soon happen in our lives, whether it be right away or in the future. We may not be seeing health risks towards us right now, but we will soon start getting the harmful side effects of all the burning fuels we will be inhaling. Consequently, we will only be hurting our environment; including ourselves even more than what we are right
