I started Snowmobiling when at a very young age. It has been my favorite sport since that day. I Have been apart of great snow years, and like everyone I have been there when we get very little snow throughout the year. These years can be hard on memberships and the rate of new memberships, but it does not have to be. I personally think every club around the nation needs to do better in supporting the new comers to the sport. I feel like many newcomers to the sport do not really know what the Snowmobile clubs really do for the sport. I feel if people have a better understanding we could get a lot more people to help with everything the clubs have to do throughout the years.
Well to keep the sport alive I feel we need to focus on the people who can not afford it or have not been up snowmobiling before. I have personally brought many friends up for their first time to go ride, and loaned them my spare sled. To see their reactions is pretty cool. I have educated them on avalanche awareness, so

During the events I stated up above to get people into the sport im sure you could have a signup sheet for the club where they can sign up and pay their dues. This would be great for Clubs around the nation as well as our sport. The more number we have the better in my mind. The more people we get the harder it will be for the government to take our riding areas away. I can see where members might complain for having to spend club money on these couple events each year, but I think if you can talk them into trying it they will be amazed in the benefits in doing this. The years when there are no snow years you might get people that have atv’s to go up on a ride to clear trails or something for snowmobiling for when the snow is good enough to go up riding. In doing this you get people out and about and thinking about snowmobiling. With any luck they will want to try it some
