Many people in the US don’t have enough money to buy a nutritious diet even if they have food stamps. Each time they go to a store they have to figure out what they can get with what they have. Sometimes all that they get is non-nutritious foods. Why don’t they get food that is good for them? They don’t do that because the nutritious food is more expensive than the other foods. No none likes having to pay extra for food that is healthy. Because the food is so expensive there is obstacles they must undergo to get a nutritious diet, to have a long time diet they have to overcome barriers, and it is more difficult to get food with how much money they have for food.
Dr. David Katz argues about how taxes are used to give people poor food. His basic complaint is that many people on food stamps are using them to buy poor food. In his article

On the one hand, I want to help people who can’t afford to help themselves. On the other hand, I don’t think it if fair to us taxpayers that we have to pay money for people that, if they took better care of themselves, would help us to save money from having to pay for their medical bills if something were to happen to them because of what they are eating. He claims that, “We, the taxpayers of the U.S., send $100 billion or so to the federal government each year to subsidize the USDAs SNAP program. I have no problem doing my part to make sure my neighbors don’t go hungry….” His point is that he is ok with giving much of the money that is given to people who are on food stamps to help them pay for things that we could avoid if we only had better programs. I agree with the fact that taxpayers are paying money to help people on food stamps to but what I don’t agree with is that we are giving money to a program that is making people to get into poor health since they may not know about nutrition and how to have a healthier
