The setting of The Nightmare Before Christmas demonstrates Tim Burton's unique and individual style.
The town that the Nightmare Before Christmas is set in is called Halloween town. Jack Skellington also visits Christmas town, and this has an interesting style and setting too.

Tim Burton's style is gothic and german expressionism, this is why the setting for Nightmare Before Christmas is a gothic graveyard.
Christmas town is less gothic but uses the vivid colours of German expressionism.
