This autobiography, translated by David Lagercrantz, tells the story of a young swedish boy named Zlatan Ibrahimović who goes from rags to riches while playing the beautiful game of soccer. Throughout this book it shows the hard and vigorous challenges a young Zlatan faced growing up which lead him to become one of the most famous footballers or Swedish footballers in history. Zlatan started as a poor young boy who tended to be sort of a “hothead” with various anger issues in the slums of Malmo, Sweden while living with his immigrant mom and sister, considering that his parents were divorced. While a young boy, Zlatan had a lot of frustrations growing up and in order to cope with these frustrations, he found himself playing soccer. Zlatan had this pride like no other which gave him a never give up attitude and he pushed himself to be the best. Stealing bikes was one of Zlatan’s many faults as a child, this fault caused him to accidentally steal his coaches bike after practice one day. Throughout the course of his time playing at Malmo, he was still a hothead and hogged the ball at times causing the coaches not to like him as much and they sold him to other teams. This follows through to Zlatan getting older and playing for Ajax in Netherlands which is his first team out of his country. At Ajax is where he showed most of his talent on and off the pitch with reporters asking for interviews so they can get to know who really is this newfound talent named Zlatan Ibrahimović. Zlatan won matches, trophies, and even championships for them while his three years at Ajax. Ultimately through teams like Juventus and Internazionale, it led up to his career at a world renowned club that goes by the name of FC
