We are face with decision based off of moral, religious beliefs on how we react to a situation that arouses throughout our life. “Some ethical theories seem complicated, but they are simply attempts to settle issues that we all think about. There are many different types of animals that are eating. Certain animals are sacred and sacrifice for religious beliefs. In the United States, there are many different types of food that are sold. Steak being a choice for most Americans for fine dining and a barbeque is common in Western culture. A nice juicy steak is a good choice for Americans, but in other cultures, it is against religious beliefs to having steak for any meal. There are many parts in the world with different religions that have items that are forbidden from being eaten that is perfectly fine in another country religion. In the United States is more diverse and with the many different religious faith it is hard to cater to everyone needs. The ethical issue I encountered was a very tough decision that I had to make because a friend of mine went out to eat at a restaurant and told me about the appetizers he had eaten for the first time. I frequently eat at this restaurant so I know what is inside of the food. He had mention that he had an order of eggrolls. The eggrolls were made with some pork and vegetables and my friend being Muslim pork is not eaten based on religious beliefs. Being able to identify other person religious beliefs gave me the ethical reasoning needed to decide on the ordeal that I had gone through. This was going to be a work functions and deciding on where to eat was very tough since many people have different appetites. There were several side conversations on where the best restaurants that could take a decent size group. That’s when my friends brought up a restaurant that I frequently eat at. He went there with a date and had never thought of anything when he was eating there. He mentions they have the best eggrolls in town and we should all go eat there. I kept quite since there was only one type of eggrolls that was served there and it included pork inside and a majority of vegetables mixed in. Now I have a decision to make when I heard about what he ate because I knew of his religious beliefs. I could have said to the group that we shouldn’t go there and name another restaurant. Everyone decided to go to the restaurant with the best eggrolls. The event was set for everyone to meet at 7p.m. to go eat. Many restaurants in the United States have many different names for their food and don’t explain what they are made with. Living in a country that the majority belief is Christian assumes that food sold throughout the country is towards one religious belief. In a diverse country we have to assume that the food is catered to all
