Sherlock Holmes had not been culpable for Dr.Roylotts death. The story “The Adventure of a Speckled Band”, written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, portrayed a mystery story. Throughout the story, Sherlock Holmes had to defend himself from the swam adder. In addition, Holmes was not able to predict that Dr. Grimsby Roylott could be bitten by the snake. Lastly, Sherlock Holmes was certain that Dr. Roylott killed Julia Stoner and wanted to murder Helen Stoner due to money. In summation, Sherlock Holmes was not responsible for Roylott’s death. Sherlock Holmes confronted the venomous swamp adder from India, with a vigorous incident that had occurred. Sherlock Holmes decided to spend the night in Helen’ s room with Dr.Watson to observe the mysterious whistling noise Helen and Julia claimed to hear at nightfall. Later that evening, there came a ephemeral gleam from the ventilator, which connected Dr. Roylott as well as Julia and Helen’s room; moreover, a precipitous reticent whistle noise.
